It's nice to rebuild the trans, but only optional, they hold up as long as you overfill it with thin 5W20 oil, the0 2 bearings on the engine side of the input and output shaft are with plastic cages and melt under high load without being submerged in oil, once they melt it's all over. Mine is just rebuilt with SKF bearings and new seals.

the trans bolts up directly. I use an F-body 3800 flywheel, machined down .240" (this varies, mine is like that with .125" think dust shield) and a SPEC stage 3 sprung clutch. The clutch is rated for 450ft.lb. TQ but it slipped on me twice already 1-2 and 3-4 shifts with a little unintentional throttle between shifts. It is the highest TQ rated clutch available, so that's a little sketchy. Other than that 1 custom made engine-to-jack shaft bracket and you need the INTENSE oil filter plate, the axle is closer to the engine with the 282. The trans mount is another story on it's own, nobody makes them anymore, ZERO availability new anywhere, good luck on that one. You need a brake booster from a 5 speed car, to make room for the clutch pump and that's about it. Don't know about the park ave though, you might need a getrag from a J-body for the motor mount.

hey quick question. how did you get the getrag to mount up to the L67? also how beefed up did you have to make it so it could hold up to the power. i know technically auto's are faster than manuals but i love the feeling of a manual and i'm doing an L67 swap in the future and was very curious
