Would there be any benifit for me to get all of the parts included in the INTENSE™ Level 2 L67/L32 Performance Package minus the 1.9 rockers and ls6 springs and instead get an S1x Cam and Comp 105 springs? I dont mind installing either one, Im just looking for the most performance. Will the cam make more power or make a faster car? Is it a bad idea to run a mild cam with stock manifolds? Price isnt a factor in this decision.

the cam will make more power thru the entire powerband. if you think you want a cam, then just do it, rockers dont provide the punch that the cam does
if you are going to be putting in more air, you need to find a way to remove it...thus the Cam and stock manis are not recommended. Your gonna need headers to gain the best benefit

I had both as well. The cam is by far a better choice and the INTENSE Stage 1x is the perfect street cam for stock heads. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a set of headers with a cam though as even ported manifolds can be a restriction with the amount of air cams can move. A stronger timing set and 105# springs are a must for a cam as well.
1.9's are good for about 30hp at the top of the rpm band. A good cam such as the INTENSE S1X cam can make 50hp up top with 20-30 more across much more of the powerband.

cam is the way to go. much more power throughout the entire powerband. rockers are more top end. plus who doesnt want a cam that works with stock heads but can make almost 400hp at the wheels with upgrades....

Is it absolutely necessary to get Headers with the Stage1x cam? The reason I ask is because I can only afford one or the other right now, cam or headers. I was wanting to just get the cam now, and pick up a set of PEM's down the road. I mean, is it one of those things that it wont hurt the engine, just choke some potential performance until I upgrade to headers? Thanks for everyones input, I would really like to get a cam now!
