98 sse with 3.05 and hd swap

my buddy has a 98 bonneville sse with 3.05 gearing. last summer he got the trans rebuilt and did the hd swap. i found a bin file that will work with my dhp power tuner since his osid was not reconized.but now that i changed the programming in the computer its setting the code for incorrect gear ratio and is commanding max shift pressure. i forgot what the number for the code was.

so i guess what im asking does anyone know what tables i need to change in the computer to fix my problem. i have dhp powertuner. thank you

I did exactly the same with my 1998 LeSabre; had 3.05 gearing stock, went to -HD trans with 3.29 gearing with my topswap. Tuning with DHP PT. PM me an email address and I'll send you my stock and modded .bin files so you can see the differences in the trans tables.

What is the OSID that won't work, I might be able to mod PT to make it work.

FAR better way than hacking up different OS's...

If it works that is ok, but if I have the .bin (the one that doesn't work) I think I can update DHP to make it work.

I am dangerous that way.

rename as .hpt or .hpl and post, that will work.

PM your VIN, might be able to look it up. What OS are you running now? I can see if they are similar or related. Some are simply a revision of the other.

im running 09379800 os. people said it was the update for a 98 bonneville sse. it works perfectly fine except im throwing a incorrect gear ratio code now. since i have the hd differential on it. ill email u the bin cuz i cant seem to get it to send the bin threw here

can u pm me ur email. i cant change the file to .hpt to upload it. stupid windows 7
