Leaded race fuel and injectors ?

I was wondering if leaded fuel will harm injectors at all, I dont have a cat so I'm not woried about that, just if it will harm the injectors. I have 42.5's and the only race fuel around here is 110 leaded cam two.

i have ran it several times when track was out of unleaded, it will mess with the o2 sensor after awhile , I have not had a problem . My check engine light came on next day after the track but i ran a tank of 93 through it and cleared codes and nothing since.

Leaded gas will fail the 02 sensor. Some fail with first use, others may take longer, but it will fail. Best bet is to look online to find unleaded race gas in your area. Start with www.racegas.com

I don't know if Ramchargers is a national franchise or not. But, here in the Detroit area they now sell VP unleaded race fuel in 5 gallon containers (MS103). $40. for 5 gallons.

EDIT: Leaded race fuel will definatley ruin the front O2 sensor. And in most cases it doesn't take long.

I thought Torco was leaded. They have that at almost all the BP stations here in SE Mich. and I've never seen it as unleaded. About a year ago I mixed some with my normal Sunoco 94 to see how the car would peform. About 25 mi. later SES light. O2 sensor shot. When I pulled it, it had a white powdery like coating.

He's talking about the Torco race fuel concentrate, like what ZZP sells. You mix it with pump gas to up the octane.

Also, Tom, do you know where Livernois is located in Dearborn Heights? They sell their 5 gal cans of VP 103 for $5 less than Scamchargers.

Thanks for the tip, Jason. Yes, I do know Livernois. Ford guys for the most part. But, that is a good price. I think I'll swing by there Friday after work and pick up 5 gallons. Scamchargers...heh, heh... I like that. I guess I should have read his post more closely, .5 not 5. I never used the TORCO race consentrate. I always figured it was like those cans of octane boost. Apparently not though, huh?

Generally speaking, most of the heavy metals (such as lead) will damage the oxygen sensors and the catalytic converter (if still installed).
