Congratulations to Dan Palermo
This car is a sleeper for sure. Very quiet and a column shifter to boot.

Seems like low numbers considering the dollars spent.. What was holding him back?

The car still has the factory resonator on it along with stock diameter exhaust running all the way back. I would like to see either a cut out on the car or some kind of free flowing exhaust. I am not sure on this, But I am thinking the mufflers are chambered which kill power on a turbo application. You want something that passes straight through the muffler. This makes a huge difference on a turbo application. The ignition timing was extremely conservative as well. The most timing we saw about 11 to 12 degrees. The pump gas being used was questionable and some sort of intercooler would help as well. I honestly believe just a few small changes to the car will unleash quite a bit more horsepower.

My guess would be injectors/fuel, LS pistons, or low boost

Yes, he still had a quarter tank of 87-octane, and his exhaust was all stock. We put a nice tune on the car, and it's running well. But I agree with Brian - opening up the exhaust and ensuring good fuel will really make this car come alive.
Check out how wide his powerband is - almost completely flat!
Congratulations Dan (and Mike)!

That explains alot... Hopefully he does some "uncorking", gets some good fuel and comes back. I for one would like to see a re dyno of that setup.

Oh i plan to open that exhaust up big time. And i believe they are single chambered mufflers. Im actually planning to come back for the transmission, cause i left mine back in pennsylvania on the way home lol (just kidding)
But ill be back to do the tranny and re dyno it at the end of august. Cant wait to come back!
