Is it possible that a badly tuned PCM kill a trans

I wondering if this is possible. I had 2 trans go in about the same time one had 70k and the other had 1200 miles. I would get a few trans codes and then the trans would not release the fluid once it got hot. I took it apart and found nothing physical wrong with it.....

I am not sure if this is the right spot.......

If the shifts are set ridiculously too firm, you can break hard parts, such as the input shaft and drive chain.

If the pressure is too low during the shifts, you can burn up clutches.

But there are MANY other ways for trannies to fail, outside of the PCM.
