Just purchased a 98 Grand Prix GTP
and a week and a half later the check engine light came on
Put car on OBD scanner and print out said:
Definition: TCC stuck off
Explanation: TCC commanded on and the ECM detected the TCC slip speed higher than limits
Probable Cause:
1. TCC Solenoid failure
2. Open or short circuit condition
3. Blocked passage in transmission
4. Check transmission range switch for proper operation
HELP! Does anyone know how much $ and how hard and time consuming the fixes for the probable causes may be? Any ideas what the most common cause would be? New car to me, so I know nothing about it
