Here's a pic of a few tensioners, fromt left to right
12k mile VS Cam and stock springs and stock timing chain
8k Mile S3 Nitrous Blower Cam and 130# Springs.. Single Roller

We also recommend running a timing chain dampener with the Rollmaster chains.

The point I am trying to make is for people to draw their own conclusions on which timing setup they want to run and whether or not they should be running a tensioner or not. There has been some discussion on the single roller eating away completely at the tensioners. I have not seen this in person yet, I thought my tensioner would be about had, but to my suprise there was not that much wear. I'll be making more posts as the summer goes on with the rest of my findings.

Thumbs up

Looks like the single rollers are not quite so bad as thought, at least not from these pictures.

We've recommended the Rollmasters from the first time we ever saw one. Out of the several hundred that have been sold, we've only seen one chain fail.

Pic of the tensioner I recently took off of my car. Stock timing chain, 130# springs, ~10k miles.
