Get head studs. 65, 75, 85, 85 with moly. Standard GM Head torque sequence. Start in the middle and fan out. This is what I have always used and I've never had failure due to the torquing.

head gasket torque question

i dont have the money to do the studs. will be puting stock head bolts back on. do you have to do the additional 30 degrees after the 120 degrees on the inside 4 bolts? the torque specs on the website only say 30 lbs ft + 120 degrees. i need to know for sure. also is rotating the torque wrench 120 degrees after the 30 lbs ft on each bolt all you have to do? where can i get the guage that shows the degrees or can i just eyeball each one as i do them?

You will not get proper torque readings if you reuse the stock bolts. You even risk a break. They're Torque To Yield bolts. One time use only. I have never used factory fasteners on any engine build I have done so I don't know, sorry.
