FAILED!!!!! JP Double Chain set

Like the title says, my Jp Performance Double Chain set failed 2 days ago. I pulled the motor out and got the heads pulled yesterday. The chain broke right in half. I bent 3 valves and knicked 3 pistons From the looks of my front cover the chain was streched really bad because there are deep groves in the side of it. That's right I said the side of the cover not the front by the oil pump cover. When I installed this chain I put 2 front cover gaskets on for the oil pump cover clearance issue but I did not install a damper because I was told not to from different vender. This chain has around 15 to 20,000 miles on it. There have been many problems with the JP chains failing acording to a post on Club GP. I'll post some pics of the chsin and front cover a later after I fix my camera. If your running one of these chains it wouldn't be a ba idea to pull the front cover and check thing out. I'm personally going back to a new stock chain and damper for the rest of the year. I'll be doing a Gen V swap when the summer is done and probably a Triple Edge tranny. I'll just pull the cover when doing the swap and see how the stock shain and damper held up with my XP and 105 springs.

The only nice thing was that it broke about 50 yards from my driveway so I just pushed the car home. Also I was only going 25 mph so the RPM's were not high so the damage could have been a lot worse.
